“We have really, really knowledgeable staff in our paint department. We are color-trained specialists, and we are more than happy to set up individual appointments to focus on each customer’s painting project from start to finish.”

How it works

“You can sit at our paint table, bring your swatches, pick your colors or whatever you’d like to match, and we’ll help you pick out exactly the right paint for you. Through our color-matching computer at each of our locations, you’ll get that perfect color match,” Jamison said.

“Our Paint Studio is a nice, separate area within our store, and we’ve even got a spot for your kids (at the 10th and Sycamore location) to be entertained while you work with us.”

What you’ll find

“We’re especially excited by our new line of paint Benjamin Moore now available at all five locations,” Jamison said. “As their slogan says, it ‘paints like no other!’ ”

You’ll find a full line of Benjamin Moore paint, including Aura, Regal, Ben and Professional Ultra Spec SCUFF-X in Nyberg’s Ace Paint Studio.

Aura: It comes in matte, eggshell, satin and semi-gloss sheens. Aura features paint and primer together, extreme hide Zero VOC, provides mildew-resistant coating and Color Lock Technology and has no color rub-off. The stain washes off easily, and it’s excellent for touch-up plus easy to apply and clean up.

Regal: It contains anti-microbial additives, so it’s good for resisting mildew and mold growth. It also has been engineered to be good at touch-up colors.

Ben: It’s available in flat, eggshell and semi-gloss has a four-hour recoat time and is engineered to be easy to work with.

You’ll also find a huge selection of paint brushes, paint rollers, painting tape — all the proper painting tools and the Nyberg’s Ace paint specialists who will make sure you leave with everything needed to complete your painting project.

What’s new

Jamison is especially excited about the new specialty bed and bath paint in the Benjamin Moore Aura line.

“It’s really nice and comes in a matte finish, which is new for us,” she said. “It’s great to use in a high-moisture area like a bathroom and does a really, really nice job.”

She’s also starting to notice a trend toward brighter colors and fewer neutrals.

“We’re seeing more of the aqua and turquoise and other blues and yellows,” she said. “It’s nice to see colors popping out again.”
