The emerging national retailer Apricot Lane Boutique is coming to Sioux Falls.

It took out a building permit for space in a new building at Lake Lorraine that includes Moe’s Home Collection.

Apricot Lane was founded in 1991 but took off in the past decade through franchising, with about 80 stores nationwide.

The boutique says it caters to women of all ages with new styles weekly and high-quality, designer-inspired pieces at affordable prices.

“Getting more boutiques mixed in here is exactly what we’re targeting, so we’re very excited about getting them in here and hope to add a lot more similar type of shops,” said Mike Van Buskirk of Lake Lorraine co-developer Van Buskirk Cos.

The plan is to be open in the next few months.

There’s about 20,000 square feet remaining in the building for lease in various sizes.

“We’re about a third rented up, and we’ve got a couple deals floating out there,” Van Buskirk said.
