Bath, body shop to move from mall to downtown

Jan. 23, 2019

Juniper Apothecary is moving from The Empire Mall to downtown Sioux Falls.

The bath and body products business was founded in Tea by Brittany and Josh Sopko and opened a store last summer in the mall. It began as Juniper Bath & Body but rebranded to focus more on natural and homeopathic remedies.

It’s moving to 8th & Railroad Center downtown and taking the current Luca’s Boutique space. Luca’s is moving to Phillips Avenue.

“The downtown vibe is something we’ve loved ever since our family moved to the Sioux Falls area almost eight years ago,” the Sopkos wrote on Juniper’s Facebook page. “To be in this building is beyond a dream.”

Inventory at the mall location includes bath bombs, bath salts, bubble bars, soaps, shower steams and scrubs, and body butters and balms. Merchandise will be 20 percent off this weekend, and the store will close Jan. 30. The business will make updates to its new space and plans to reopen in February.
