Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop coming to Sioux Falls

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is expanding to Sioux Falls.

Franchisees Aaron and Tonya Niewald plan to open three locations in South Dakota in the next three years. The first is set to open at Lake Lorraine this summer.

Capriotti’s is known for its Bobbie sandwich, which is a Thanksgiving-style creation with mayo, hand-pulled turkey, homemade stuffing and cranberry sauce on a significant soft roll.

The menu includes hot and cold sandwiches and salads.

The new Lake Lorraine location will be in a new building at 32nd Street and Marion Road. It will include a drive-through pick-up window that operates using a mobile app.

Capriotti’s was founded in 1976 and has been growing quickly, jumping more than 200 spots on this year’s Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500 list to No. 259.

“We have made significant strides over the past year in improving operations, efficiency and technology, all while still providing our fresh, house made menu items,” said David Bloom, Capriotti’s chief development officer. “This hard work is reflected by our onboarding of new, quality franchise partners and valued recognition in the industry. We’re looking forward to building on this momentum and bringing new Capriotti’s locations to people across the country in 2018.”

Capriotti’s currently has 100 locations in 18 states, and plans to expand to 500 locations nationwide by 2025.
