CH Patisserie to be open daily

Good news, macaron fans: CH Patisserie will sell them to you on Mondays.

The downtown pastry shop will be open seven days a week starting June 12.

“We’ve been doing production on Monday, so we’re here, but we’ve finally gotten to the point where we can service the production and our guests,” owner Chris Hanmer said.

A meeting in the restaurant this week on Monday sealed his decision.

“Within an hour meeting, we had six groups of people pull on our door trying to come in, so I said, ‘We’re done.’ We’re here for our guests. So we’re super excited,” Hanmer said.

To mark the occasion, his popular macarons will be buy two, get one free June 12.

Hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

“Between 10 and 30 percent of our business comes after 5 p.m.,” said Hanmer, who has been a strong advocate for later hours at downtown businesses.

“Once the work crowd leaves at 5 p.m., there’s a dinner and shopping crowd for the stores that are open. We’ve seen it.”
