Click Rain, Lemonly will move into historic downtown building

Sept. 7, 2021

Click Rain and Lemonly now will have a common office after merging at the beginning of the year.

Click Rain has purchased the historic Sawtooth Building at Seventh Street and Nesmith Avenue, next door to the Furniture Mission.

Named for its unique sawtooth roof, the building was built in 1919 and operated as a spark plug factory for the Symms-Brownell Manufacturing Co. Its new owners are “eager to bring back its historical charm,” they said in a statement.

“This is an investment for our business but also for the community. We are eager to revitalize this hidden gem and bring new energy to the East Bank corridor neighborhood,” said Eric Ellefson, partner and chief operating officer.

Both digital marketing agencies are located downtown. Click Rain is in part of the historic Rock Island Building at 300 N. Phillips Ave., and Lemonly is at 230 S. Main Ave.

The future office space will offer many desired features that the Click Rain and Lemonly teams have shared through employee surveys, including plenty of parking, various collaboration zones, five designated conference rooms, staff and client entertainment space, and bright natural light thanks to the sawtooth roof and windows.

“The space itself is spacious at just under 20,000 square feet and will offer great amenities to those working in-office, while being fully wired to support a hybrid workforce. There will be plenty of room for our team to comfortably collaborate or find quiet space as needed,” Ellefson said.

The new office will be a hub for the organization’s 55 employees beginning next summer, CEO Natalie Eisenberg said.

“Whether our team members are full-time in-office, full-time remote or somewhere in between, our highest hope is that they enjoy their time at work, find fulfillment in their roles and are better able to show up positively for their lives outside of work because of that experience,” she said.
