Cody’s Smokehouse BBQ has closed after more than four years in business.

The restaurant at 6401 S. Louise Ave. opened in the summer of 2017.

It was an original concept from restaurant veteran Joe Cody, who had franchises for Arby’s, Noodles & Company and Old Chicago, among other chains nationwide.

Today was the last day in business, according to Cody, who said he and his business partner decided to retire and will be selling the real estate.

The Arby’s that’s attached to the building remains open.
