Dakota Seafood to move in with Pomegranate Market

Nov. 13, 2019

Dakota Seafood Co. has closed its location at The Bridges at 57th and will start selling its products inside Pomegranate Market.

It opened at The Bridges in 2017. The decision to locate inside the grocery store, which specializes in organic and local products, made sense, owner Dave Nielsen said.

“I’ll still own it, but we’ll be working together and – no pun intended – it was a natural fit,” he said. “We’re really excited about it. It will bring more eyes on our product.”

Dakota Seafood will continue to offer a line of fresh fish and seafood that’s flown in daily along with some other complementary merchandise.

Thanks to a software system, customers will check out one time at Pomegranate Market and won’t have to pay separately for Dakota Seafood products.

Dakota Seafood will take part of the deli area at the grocery store, which is located in the Beakon Centre at 57th Street and Louise Avenue.

The hope is to be back up and running in a matter of days, Nielsen said.

“It’s going to happen pretty fast,” he said. “We’re pumped up about it.”

Dakota Seafood also has locations in Rapid City and Spearfish.
