Downtown brewery sets grand opening

July 2, 2019

Severance Brewing Co. plans to open its new downtown brewery Aug. 2.

The brewery is on the first floor of The Cascade, which opened for residents this week.

It’s owned by friends Scott and Melissa Heckel, and Mark and Jennifer Stavenger.

Severance started brewing beer in June. Its Aug. 2 grand opening is scheduled for 4 p.m. There are still open positions at the brewery.

Severance joins several other tenants on the first floor, including The Root Cellar convenience store, Candy Cloud Factory cotton candy shop, La Luna Cafe and the recently announced The Bloom Room Boutique. There are a couple of spaces left, including one where developers are hoping to land a restaurant.

Boutique will move to new downtown space
