Prairie C Dessert Bar is closing.

Owner Keyes Clemmer opened the downtown shop at 8th & Railroad Center nearly two years ago. She began selling her edible art at the Falls Park Farmers Market and directly to customers four years ago when the family moved to Sioux Falls from the East Coast.

She’s now moving back to New York City and will close the downtown shop Feb. 18.

There will be special hours for Valentine’s Day from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and then hours will be 1 to 9 p.m. the rest of the week. Today through Saturday will be normal business hours.

Clemmer’s Prairie C Kitchen, which is separate from the store, will continue to bake through March. Customers can order stuffed cheesecake, NYC monster cookies by the half-dozen or dozen, Prairie Cookies with a minimum order of two dozen, or special-order cakes.

“I would really love to convey how thankful I am to the Sioux Falls community for all their love and support these last four years,” Clemmer said.
