The combination A&W Restaurant/KFC on East 10th Street is getting a new look inside and out.

The dining room is closed for remodeling, but the drive-thru remains open through the weekend, said Robin Wessel, general manager.

Beginning Monday, the restaurant at 3401 E. 10th St. will be closed for about two weeks while flooring is installed in the kitchen area.

“It’s going to look a lot different,” Wessel said. “It’s a total remodel, everything from chairs to flooring and pictures on the wall.”

The exterior will get new paint and new signs.

The KFC on Louise Avenue, which is owned by the same franchise group, is expected to get a makeover in September, Wessel said.
