Economic Outlook event will include Hy-Vee speaker

From staff reports

The annual Economic Outlook from the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce & Industry takes on a different format this year.

The Nov. 7 event is shorter than previous years and includes more time for networking.

Keynote speaker Ernie Goss, MacAllister Chair & Professor of Economics from Creighton University, will provide background information on the most important aspects of the regional economy and offer projections on current economic indicators.

Future events will include a review of projections, tracking both the successful and missed predictions.

The public event is chaired by Fred Slunecka, chief operating officer of Avera Health.

It starts with networking at 4 p.m. at The Country Club of Sioux Falls, 3400 W. 22nd St. Presentations begin at 4:30 p.m.

The cost is $30, which includes refreshments. The deadline to register is Nov. 6. For information, visit sdchamber.biz or call 800-742-8112.
