What brought you to Sioux Falls?
Originally, I came to Sioux Falls to go to college at Augustana University. After college, my husband and I moved to the Twin Cities for a few years before realizing we wanted to be back in Sioux Falls. When a job opportunity became available at Eide Bailly, we jumped at the chance to move back.
What keeps you in Sioux Falls?
Sioux Falls is just the perfect size. It’s big enough to have access to quality education and health care along with a great variety of entertainment options but small enough that you still run into people you know when you are out and about. It’s allowed me to be involved in community programs like Girls on the Run and the Harrisburg Community Library board. The growth of Sioux Falls makes it an exciting city to be in as you can’t wait to see what comes next.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
Getting the chance to work with my fabulous client and co-workers. The industry is always changing, so we are learning something new all the time to be able to help our clients achieve their business goals.
How did you get connected to your industry?
After my first accounting class in college, the professor pulled me aside and asked if I’d considered adding accounting to my business administration major. A few classes and internships later, I realized that public accounting was broader than I had thought both in types of services — audit, tax, forensics, business valuations — and in the variety of clients that you get to work with, and I was hooked.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I hope to be continuing my leadership skills within Eide Bailly as well as the community. It will include continuing to grow with my clients and help them reach their dreams.
