EmBe seeks Tribute to Women nominations

EmBe’s Tribute to Women event marks its 45th year April 19 and is taking nominations for this year’s winners.

The event has honored more than 1,000 women. Categories include: Banking and Finance, Business Achievement, EmBeliever Award, Government and Law, Healthcare and STEM, Humanities and Education, Nonprofit and Community Service, Sylvia Henkin Mentoring Award and Young Woman of Achievement.

More than 60 people were nominated in 2017. Award winners were:

  • Banking and Finance: Suzy Collignon-Hodgen, Risk Administration Services.
  • Business Achievement: Mary Howard, The Howard Group of Baird.
  • EmBeliever: Jim Woster, Avera Health.
  • Government and Law: Taneeza Islam, Collaborative Legal Incubator Program.
  • Healthcare and STEM:  Amber Schwiesow, Midco.
  • Humanities and Education: Carol Rogers, Avera Health.
  • Nonprofit and Community Service: Laurie Fluit, Citi.
  • Sylvia Henkin Mentoring Award: Cathy Kellogg, Avera Health.
  • Young Woman of Achievement: Dr. Ashley Podhradsky, Dakota State University.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from embe/tribute. A sample nomination form and a complete list of past winners is available online. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Feb. 23.
