Empire Mall delays reopening until May 8

The Empire Mall will be closed a few more days than planned.
General manager Dan Gies said the plan is to reopen Friday, May 8. It originally was scheduled for Tuesday, May 5.
The delay will give tenants more time to prepare, he said.
