Escape-room business offers new approach

The escape-room business Escapades is bringing its concept directly to businesses in a pop-up form.
“Escapades has seen an increased demand from local corporate customers and increasing requests for mobility,” owner Kari Black said. “Escapades escape rooms has innovated a way to bring our escape rooms to any corporate setting. We are now offering an option for on-site escape experiences.”
A 10-foot-by-10-foot space is all it takes to create an escape room on-site, Black said. Larger spaces can accommodate more players. The pop-up rooms include the same puzzles as the in-house escape rooms. Starting in February, companies can order a 30-, 45-, or 60-minute experience for a flat rate.
“Large companies are seeing the benefits of investing in team synergy. Escape rooms foster a sense of teamwork, achievement and camaraderie,” Black said.
Escapades is located near the northwest corner of 41st Street and Western Avenue. There are four themes offered, and a fifth one – a jail theme including 4-D elements – is starting soon. The company creates all of its rooms from scratch, which Black said makes it unique in the market.
