The state reported 474 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total to 145,018.

The report includes a total of 35,675 cases in Minnehaha County, 91 more than the previous report, and 9,789 cases in Lincoln County, an increase of 21.

South Dakota has 7,388 active cases, 73 fewer than the previous report. The state total includes 135,488 people who are reported as having recovered, an increase of 536.

There are 214 people hospitalized, nine more than the previous report. According to the report, there are 82 patients in the hospital with COVID-19 between Avera McKennan and Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Of those, 27 are in intensive care.

The total number that are or have been hospitalized statewide is 7,411 people, an increase of 33.

Across the state, 421,636 people have received a COVID-19 vaccine through the state’s allocation, an increase of 515. Of those, 390,039 are fully vaccinated.

So far, 64 percent of eligible South Dakotans have received at least one dose, and 59 percent of the population is fully vaccinated. Those percentages include state and federal allocations of vaccine.

Sept. 29

South Dakota reported 552 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total to 144,546.

The report includes a total of 35,584 cases in Minnehaha County, 106 more than the previous report, and 9,768 cases in Lincoln County, an increase of 37.

The number of South Dakotas with COVID-19 who have died remains unchanged at 2,133.

South Dakota has 7,461 active cases, 139 fewer than the previous report. The state total includes 134,952 people who are reported as having recovered, an increase of 690.

There are 205 people hospitalized, five more than the previous report. According to the report, there are 75 patients in the hospital with COVID-19 between Avera McKennan and Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Of those, 26 are in intensive care.

The total number that are or have been hospitalized statewide is 7,378 people, an increase of 19.

Across the state, 421,121 people have received a COVID-19 vaccine through the state’s allocation, an increase of 472. Of those, 389,541 are fully vaccinated.

So far, 64 percent of eligible South Dakotans have received at least one dose, and 59 percent of the population is fully vaccinated. Those percentages include state and federal allocations of vaccine.

Sept. 28

Four more South Dakotans with COVID-19 have died, bringing the death toll to 2,133.

The state reported 812 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total to 143,995. Tuesday’s report includes totals since 1 p.m. Friday.

The report includes a total of 35,478 cases in Minnehaha County, 186 more than the previous report, and 9,731 cases in Lincoln County, an increase of 60.

South Dakota has 7,600 active cases, 12 more than the previous report. The state total includes 134,262 people who are reported as having recovered, an increase of 796.

There are 200 people hospitalized, 16 more than the previous report. According to the report, there are 79 patients in the hospital with COVID-19 between Avera McKennan and Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Of those, 29 are in intensive care.

The total number that are or have been hospitalized statewide is 7,359 people, an increase of 45.

Across the state, 420,649 people have received a COVID-19 vaccine through the state’s allocation, an increase of 1,388. Of those, 389,189 are fully vaccinated.

Four more South Dakotans with COVID-19 have died, bringing the death toll to 2,129.

The number of those deaths caused by COVID-19 has reached 1,869 as of Sept. 23. That number is updated only weekly.

The state reported 383 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total to 143,183. Monday’s report includes totals through 1 p.m. Friday. Weekend cases are included in the Tuesday report.

The report includes a total of 35,292 cases in Minnehaha County, 90 more than the previous report, and 9,671 cases in Lincoln County, an increase of 35.

South Dakota has 7,588 active cases, 116 fewer than the previous report. The state total includes 133,466 people who are reported as having recovered, an increase of 495.

There are 184 people hospitalized, six fewer than the previous report. According to the report, there are 75 patients in the hospital with COVID-19 between Avera McKennan and Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Of those, 29 are in intensive care.

The total number that are or have been hospitalized statewide is 7,314 people, an increase of 24.

Across the state, 419,261 people have received a COVID-19 vaccine through the state’s allocation, an increase of 651. Of those, 387,849 are fully vaccinated.

The state reported 587 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total to 142,330.
