To further its commitment to give back to the communities in which it serves, Woods, Fuller, Shultz & Smith has created a scholarship program.  Fareway Stores Inc.

Fareway Stores Inc. collected $111,193 and more than 90 pallets of toys for the Toys for Tots campaign organized by the Marine Corps. Toys for Tots collected $193,000 in donations and gave away more than 44,000 toys during the holiday season to 25,000 children. Fareway, an Iowa-based grocery chain, operates three stores in the Sioux Falls area.

Sioux Falls Ford Lincoln

Sioux Falls Ford Lincoln has given more than $100,000 to Sanford Children’s Miracle Network, Avera McKennan Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Dakota. To celebrate its new location, which opened last year, the dealership donated $100 for every vehicle sold from October to December to the customer’s choice of the three organizations.


The deadline to apply for the Poet Never Satisfied Scholarships is Friday, Feb. 2. The ethanol manufacturer will award up to $5,000 each to 10 students. Applicants must be enrolled for the fall 2018 semester at a two- or four-year post-secondary school. For details and to complete an application, visit

Beds by Design

Beds by Design, which also manufactures the OmniPillow, is donating pillows to the St. Francis House on Jan. 31 as part of its first distribution through the OperationOmni campaign. The company, which has operations in Sioux Falls and Fargo, will donate one pillow for every pillow purchased. The goal is to give away 1 million pillows.
