Giving Back for September

From staff reports

Giving Back recognizes businesses and organizations that are helping our community.

Strawbale Winery

Strawbale Winery’s Folk Off & Rib Challenge in July raised $7,000 each for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire and South Dakota Friends of Traditional Music.

Culver’s

Participating Culver’s restaurants donated a percentage of their sales Sept.  12 to the United Way of Greater Houston to help aid the relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Harvey. The Sioux Falls restaurants were part of the effort.

Renegade Stores

Renegade Stores are holding their annual Renegade Boot Trade through Oct. 22. Most of the usable footwear trades will be donated to hurricane relief efforts of the Orphan Grain Train. The Christian volunteer network based in Norfolk, Neb., collects and shares clothing, food and medical supplies in the U.S. and around the world. Customers who bring in footwear to Renegade in The Empire Mall will receive a 20 percent discount on new boots or shoes.
