Gluten-free bakery to open later this month

A Sioux Falls bakery that features gluten-free and vegan sweet treats plans to open its first storefront location Sept. 15.
Sinless Sweets owner Maggy Pickner had hoped to open earlier, but remodeling issues caused a delay, she said.
The bakery will be in The Bridges at 57th at Western Avenue and 57th Street. The space will allow Pickner to also offer meals in a bistro setting.
In addition, Sinless Sweets will sell home decor from North American Wholesale and Sullivans, two local dealers.
Pickner started her gluten-free and vegan bakery as a teenager. Now 20, she herself gave up gluten and dairy about 18 months ago when she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, which causes cysts to form in her reproductive system.
Every cake, cookie and brownie that Pickner bakes is made with nut flours and without eggs and dairy products. The bistro meals also will be vegan and gluten-free.
