After an unexpected delay, the construction work is done, and customers can dine in the remodeled Godfather’s Pizza.

The dining area in the restaurant at 5107 W. 41st St. had been closed since late October for a complete renovation. Delivery and carryout service continued except for a short time while work was done in the kitchen.

Godfather’s had hoped to fully reopen in mid-November, but “unforeseen issues” set it back.

Now, customers can enjoy the same recipes that the Iowa-based chain has been making since it opened in 1973 but in a new setting.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A buffet is available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. daily.
