Here’s what’s next from parent company of Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings

May 25, 2018

The company that owns Arby’s and Buffalo Wild Wings is starting to grow a couple of new restaurant concepts that ultimately could come to Sioux Falls.

Representatives of owner Inspire Brands Inc. were at the RECON convention in Las Vegas this week.

Along with the two well-known chains, they were discussing R Taco, a fast-casual chain that specializes in street tacos. The menu includes varieties such as the picadillo taco, with ground beef, potatoes, spices, onions and cilantro; the Rusty taco, with achiote pork, pineapple, onion and cilantro; and the fried chicken taco, with jalapeno ranch, slaw and cilantro. R Taco also serves beer and margaritas.

R Taco has grown primarily in Texas, but Inspire representatives said they’re open to franchising nationwide.

Buffalo Wild Wings also has started to try a fast-casual version of its wing concept called B-Dubs Express. It started with a handful of stores in the Twin Cities and offers a smaller menu served at a counter. It’s designed for urban areas and other places people are on the go.
