Hydra Beer Co. is headed downtown.

The brewery at 2425 S. Shirley Ave. is opening a taproom at 125 W. 10th St. The space most recently was Ophelia’s for a short time as a bar and music venue.

Hydra has been in business for two years.

“We have decided to give you another option for a place to relax and grab a well-crafted brew. What better place than in the heart of our city?” the business wrote on Facebook in announcing the expansion.

The hope is to have beer flowing by October.
