Inc. 5000 list recognizes 11 fast-growing S.D. businesses

Eleven South Dakota companies have been named to this year’s Inc. 5000 List, which ranks fast-growing companies.
To qualify, businesses must apply and meet the following criteria:
- Be privately owned, based in the United States, independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company).
- Have started earning revenue by March 31st, 2013.
- Had revenue no less than $100,000 in 2013.
- Had revenue no less than $2 million in 2016.
- Revenue in 2016 exceeds revenue in 2013.
The fastest-growing business in South Dakota was Rapid City-based VRC Metal Systems, which specializes in high- pressure cold-spray systems and process development for repair, additive manufacturing, coatings and joining applications.
