The owners of Jacky’s Restaurant are planning a new quick-service concept.

They have leased space in a strip mall on 12th Street west of Western Avenue in the same retail center that includes Tomacelli’s Pizza and H&R Block.

“They are still developing the concept but anticipate it will be fast-casual and carry-out style,” said Scott Blount of Lloyd Cos., who leased the space.

The 1,100-square-foot restaurant will allow for a few tables, but most business will be takeout and resemble a smaller version of national concepts such as Qdoba, Blount said.

Jacky’s has three other locations in Sioux Falls but none on the west side.

The plan is to open the quick-service restaurant this summer.
