Josiah’s buys take-and-bake business

A popular downtown restaurant has purchased a take-and-bake business.
Josiah’s Coffeehouse, Cafe & Bakery is taking over Dinner Birdie, which Jeni Bergan of Chef Jeni & Company started in 2020.
Dinner Birdie, which recently moved out of Chef Jeni’s space and into its own storefront at 3620 S. Southeastern Ave., will be incorporated into Josiah’s, which is at 104 W. 12th St.
“Customers will be happy to know that all the favorites created by Chef Jeni for Dinner Birdie will still be available,” Josiah’s said in a news release. “Dinner Birdie’s many take-and-bake items will be available for ordering and pickup in mid-April.”
Dinner Birdie’s menu includes made-from-scratch entrees, soups, salads and cookies to bake at home.
Online ordering will expand from weekly to daily, and grab-and-go offerings will be available daily in the restaurant.
