KFC on Louise Avenue has closed its lobby and dining room for a remodeling project.

Customers can order through the drive-thru while the work is being done except for a couple of days, possibly next week, when Pepsi replaces the pop machine counter near the drive-thru window, assistant manager Denae Hessen said.

The remodeling project includes new seating, fixtures and wall coverings in the dining room. The buffet, which is available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, will remain.

The lobby and bathrooms are being renovated too.

“It should be done hopefully by the end of August,” Hessen said.

The exterior of the building at 3100 S. Louise Ave. also will be updated.
