Landscape Garden Centers is laying the groundwork for future development of its property.

The garden center is applying to rezone some of the property it owns adjacent to its building at 7201 S. Minnesota Ave., which has been there for 42 years.

President Erik Helland said it’s a concept plan that doesn’t have a timeframe tied to it. The plan submitted to the city shows a new Landscape Garden Centers building on the southwest corner of the property, a two-story retail and office building on the north portion and a new bank on the southeast corner of the property.
