Willow Run Golf Course

No matter what the season, Willow Run Golf Course delivers an exceptional setting for events.

“We absolutely take care of you from start to finish and have flexible spaces for different sizes and styles of events,” said Amila Husic, who oversees events as the general manager at The Willows restaurant.

The main Willows Event Room typically accommodates between 150 and 220 people, though smaller groups also are an option.

It overlooks picturesque Willow Run and provides a beautiful year-round setting for events from weddings and rehearsal dinners to graduations, family gatherings and corporate events.

“For November and December, we are about half-booked, so we have dates available, but you’ll want to reach out soon,” Husic said. “We’ll walk through everything that’s offered with you, including your options for catering through The Willows, outside catering and place settings. You’ll be able to have your own personal bartender, dedicated staff, and you can customize your own menu.”

The Event Room includes complete audiovideo equipment for everything from music to presentations.

“One of our corporate partners rented the room for a team of about 30 to have some fun and put up beanbag boards, so there’s a variety of things you can do with the room,” Husic said.

There’s also an option at Willow Run for smaller groups: a loft above the restaurant that can seat about 30 people.

“We just held a baptism party in that room with appetizers for the family, so it’s very flexible,” Husic said. “Your group can order off our menu if it’s fewer than 30 people, or we can provide a buffet menu and catering service for larger ones.”

The space also is helpful for business meetings, she added.

“We have many businesses rent both of the spaces at the Willows,” Husic said. “We have screens in both spaces that can be used for presentations.”

Golf course options

Prefer something for west-siders or even a quick trip outside Sioux Falls?

All GreatLIFE golf courses have options for events.

“Every single course has a space for events,” Husic said. “Just reach out to the on-site manager, who will explain your options.”

GreatLIFE Worthington

Those on the west side will find event space at Bakker Crossing and Central Valley.

Or, bring your group a short drive outside of Sioux Falls to check out a different venue such as GreatLIFE’s Worthington, a country club-style venue, or Fox Run in Yankton, where your group is welcome at the clubhouse.

Go bowling

For a different take on your next event, what about GreatLIFE Suburban Lanes?

Your group can enjoy bowling on 10 lanes, golf simulators and the retro-inspired snack shop The Barrel.

Suburban Lanes offers a birthday bash package for up to six people. Or, host a private event there for your corporate outing or large party. It can accommodate up to 76 bowling guests and additional people who aren’t bowling. Packages offer 2.5 hours of bowling and simulators, a keg of beer and the option for catering.
