If you have an alcohol-free drink recipe that’s great for the holidays, you could win $1,000 in the AAA’s Great Pretenders Mocktails Mix-Off.

Recipes can be submitted through Wednesday, Nov. 15, at mocktailsmixoff.com. Ten drinks will be chosen for a mix-off competition Dec. 1 at Coffea Roasterie on South Louise Avenue.

Drinks will be judged on taste, originality, appearance and name. In addition to the grand prize of $1,000, second place will win $350 and third place will earn $150.

AAA South Dakota sponsors the contest to promote a positive twist on holiday drink options. You can find recipes from competitions the past two years online. Last year’s winner was the Apple-Y Ever After.
