For the fourth consecutive year, Avera Foundation was recognized by the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy with the High Performer distinction for 2022. AHP recognizes high performance based on organizations that fall within the top 75th percentile in net returns from fundraising efforts, minus expenses. For data based on fiscal 2021, being a High Performer in the overall category means that Avera Foundation raised more than $23.6 million among all U.S. respondents to the AHP’s Report on Giving. Thanks to more than 18,000 benefactors, the Avera Foundation reported giving of more than $40 million in fiscal 2021 and $46 million in fiscal 2022.

Central Payments

Central Bank of Kansas City, along with Central Payments’ Bank Secrecy Act team, has received one of five annual law enforcement awards from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. The team assisted law enforcement in identifying and stopping financial crimes.

Central Payment’s Nikkee Rhody, chief of strategy, and Shannon Huether, vice president of project management and implementations, were part of an American Banker interview about the strategy behind recruiting and elevating women in the fintech industry. While women occupy 10 percent of leadership roles in the fintech industry, half of Central Payment’s senior leadership positions are held by women.
