From a quick car wash to a full detailing job and a cup of Coffea Roasterie coffee, the owners of the new Clean Ride Auto Spa are out to create a flex-service car wash concept.
The business, which will be in front of Aldi on 85th Street west of Minnesota Avenue, will offer a variety of services.
Customers will be able to choose from a drive-thru touch or touchless car wash, an express detailing wash, a full detailing shop and even a self-service pet station.
Other unique features include a cutting-edge belt conveyor system, a laser light show, specialty repair services and a coffee shop-style waiting area serving Coffea coffee with a drive-thru option.
The vision is for “a higher level of car wash service” for Sioux Falls and the surrounding area, said Dave Dreessen, a member of the ownership group.
“The goal is to create a one-stop shop of convenience and quality. Partnering up with Coffea coffee was critical to the vision, allowing people to enjoy themselves while waiting for their vehicle to be brought to perfection.”
Clean Ride Auto Spa will begin selling membership packages this summer on its website and plans to open this fall.
The business will benefit from the strong performance of Schulte Subaru, which is on the same corner, said Ron Nelson, owner of Nelson Commercial Real Estate, who represents the property.
“Somebody figured out lightning in a bottle on that corner, and that’s Schulte,” Nelson said. “A corner doesn’t make or break a business, but clearly this is a strong area.”
There’s not much land left on the corner, but some is still zoned for live-work against the adjacent homes, so it could be a hybrid use to do office or residential, he said.
