The new I-29 RV Supercenter will open Nov. 18 in Tea.

It’s located in the Bakker Landing development along Interstate 29 northwest of the Tea exit and is led by president Bruce Nerison, who has been in the auto industry for more than 25 years.

Nerison has worked in Rapid City, Tampa and Orlando in addition to Sioux Falls, where he owns Wheel City Auto.

“We thoroughly enjoy being in the traditional automotive dealership space,” Nerison said. “And we will continue to serve our communities. We have always had a passion for the outdoors and what it stands for — spending time with family. We felt there was a need in our community for a full-service RV dealership that can offer new and pre-owned RVs, consignment sales, as well as a full-scale service department that specializes in both gas and diesel repairs.”

The dealership plans to hire 15 to 18 employees and has started building its team already. One of the key managers is Chris Jeschke, who has 15 years of industry experience.

“We are really excited about opening this new, state-of-the-art RV dealership and to start serving customers with our amazing team that we’ve put together,” Jeschke said.

“We feel that there is a strong need in the market right now for an RV dealership that is locally owned and focuses on the lasting relationships with their customers that expands over many years. From young families to retirees and everyone in-between, we want to be there for that journey. Plus, we will be one of the few RV dealerships that can actually offer full diesel repair service.”

I-29 RV Supercenter will carry a variety of brands of new RVs and a large selection of pre-owned RVs. It also will have a consignment and trade-in program, a full-scale service center and a showroom with camping accessories for purchase.

It will be open Monday through Saturday. To mark the Nov. 18 opening, the business will offer what it calls deep discounts on new RVs, as well as $100 gift cards to the Tea Steakhouse, discounted interest rates and other incentives when customers make an RV purchase through December. A grand opening will be held in the spring.

The Bakker Landing development also is home to the new Morton Buildings headquarters, and several other businesses are expected to break ground in the coming months.
