New spa catering to downtown crowd

A new spa has owned on Phillips Avenue offering everything from lunch-hour manicures to airbrush tans.

Owner Liz Erickson opened Spa by Atoley two doors south of her Atoley salon.

It’s in the former Chelsea’s Boutique space at 321 S. Phillips Ave. Chelsea’s moved across the street last year.

Erickson bought the salon in 2013. When the chance came to expand nearby, she jumped at it.

“We had a lot of clients that would ask about spa services, and there is great walk-in traffic downtown,” Erickson said. “We were excited about the opportunity.”

Services include express manicures and pedicures, spa nail services, a blow out and makeup bar, facials, several types of massage, body scrubs, dermabrasion, waxing and airbrush tanning.

Hours are Monday through Saturday opening at 10 a.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. on Saturday plus some evening hours.
