The Hideout, a bar and casino near the Smithfield Foods plant, is planning to start serving food.

Manager James Moncrief said he hopes construction on a new kitchen will be done by the end of September or right before darts league starts.

Moncrief said the bar has a tentative menu in the works, which includes signature bar foods such as chicken strips, wings, fries and burgers.

The Hideout at 1213 N. Cliff Ave. is open from 4 p.m. to midnight every day.
