Children’s Home Society of South Dakota
The Children’s Home Society of South Dakota board of directors has new officers: president, Laura Johnson; vice president, Eric Lee; treasurer, Gina Hopkins; and secretary, Jack Marsh.

Children’s Home Foundation

Dakota State University
Logan Wagner has been hired as the assistant director of development for athletics at Dakota State University in Madison. She previously served as the head golf coach for men and women and the assistant women’s basketball coach at Mount Marty University in Yankton. She also worked for the university’s advancement department.
Sanford Health
The American Medical Association has recognized Sanford Health as a recipient of the Joy in Medicine health system recognition program. The AMA distinction recognized 44 health systems for their commitment to preserving the well-being of health care team members by engaging in efforts to combat work-related stress and burnout. Sanford Health has built a culture of well-being through resiliency groups, trainings, mentorship, a clinician assistance program that provides confidential counseling, a physician wellness council and other programs that encourage self-care, wellness and a healthy work-family-life balance.
Dow Rummel Village
Two associates at Dow Rummel Village received awards at the annual South Dakota Health Care Association’s fall convention.
Darla Van Rosendale received the Administrator of the Year Award. She serves as CEO and has worked at Dow Rummel for 23 years.
Lucia Avila received the Millie E. Olson Award of the Year, which recognizes exception service. Avila serves as a restorative aide in the skilled nursing center and has worked at Dow Rummel for five years.

Kali Trautman, senior event designer at The Event Company, has been recognized as a member of Connect Association magazine’s 40 Under 40, which highlights the top young professionals in the events industry.
First Premier Bank
Mark Henkelman has been promoted to retail area manager of First Premier Bank. He has 20 years of experience in financial services and joined the bank in 2006. He will be based in the main office and will oversee multiple bank locations.
JLG Architects
JLG Architects has received the Environmental Stewardship Award from the Construction Specifications Institute, a nonprofit association dedicated to improving the communication of construction information. This national award recognizes JLG’s innovations in promoting environmental awareness, prominently practicing sustainability and educating on the advantages of designing for sustainability with a “start at zero” approach that integrates high-performance goals.
