Ashley Podhradsky has been named the associate dean of the Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Dakota State University. She has been at DSU for eight years and will continue to be an associate professor of information assurance and forensics. Podhradsky also has been asked to continue as a New America Cybersecurity Fellow. She spent the past year working with the nonpartisan think tank whose purpose is to provide guidance to policymakers on cybersecurity topics.

Creative Building Corp. received the 5 Star award in the best U.S. residential property category at the International Property Awards. The honor was for Casa de Vistas in San Clemente, Calif.
Gretchen Miller, the marketing manager at NAI Sioux Falls, was chosen from NAI Global’s more than 7,000 professionals and administrative staff members as the winner of the community award for individuals. Miller was recognized for her long-term work with student mentoring programs at LSS of South Dakota.
Linda Hagedorn of rural Tea has received the Sertoma Best Friend Award from the Noon Sertoma group. She was recognized for her achievements in business as a longtime Tupperware dealer and family farmer, her community involvement and the support of her husband, Otto, and his involvement in Sertoma.
Jill Lorang has been named director of nursing at Prosperous Home Health Care. Lorang most recently worked as a patient care coordinator at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center, where she served the aging population and acutely ill patients for 27 years. In addition to her bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in administration studies, she is a registered nurse and a certified wound ostomy nurse.
Stockyards Ag Experience has been awarded the Mountains-Plains Museum Association’s Publication Design Award for its HomeGrown promotional pieces. The pieces were designed by Lawrence & Schiller and have been used during the organization’s capital fundraising campaign.
