GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness

Architect Mark Aspaas has joined the GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness team as a project manager. Aspaas retired from Architecture Incorporated after 39 years and was responsible for the design of the Minnehaha County Courthouse, The Bluffs and clubhouse at Willow Run Golf Course and dozens of other notable projects in the region. Aspaas is working on projects in the Kansas City market.

MetaBank

Janelle Vis has been hired as a project manager at MetaBank. Vis has almost 20 years of financial services experience and spent the past eight years in project management.

MetaBank has promoted three staff members:

  • James Herr to software engineer. He has been in application support for two years.
  • Nicole Harding to branch manager of the Western Avenue location. She joined Meta two years ago as an assistant branch manager at the 12th Street location.
  • Cassandra Loebs  to senior product manager. Loebs joined the bank two years ago and most recently held the position of senior account manager.

Woods Fuller Shultz & Smith PC

Woods Fuller attorney Shelly Munson was honored by the Family Visitation Center with the Family First Award. The annual award recognizes a community member for their dedication and commitment to supporting families and protecting children. As a family law attorney, Munson has been a strong supporter of Family Visitation Center programs, which work to ensure the safety and well-being of children caught in the middle of issues such as divorce, domestic violence and child abuse. She has been with the law firm since 2007.

Woods Fuller trademark attorney Troy Leonard attended the 2017 International Trademark Association annual meeting in Barcelona, Spain. Leonard has been a participant for more than 15 years. INTA is a global association of trademark owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property to protect consumers and promote fair and effective commerce.

Woods Fuller has welcomed four interns into its summer internship program. The program is designed to provide law students with exposure to the variety of specialties in which Woods Fuller attorneys practice. Interns Alyssa Hanisch of Sioux Falls, Cody Raterman of Rapid City and Jacquelyn Wilson of Lemmon attend the University of South Dakota Law School. Intern Andrew Nelson of Sioux Falls attends the University of St. Thomas School of Law.

Hegg Realtors Inc.

Three newly licensed broker associates have joined Hegg Realtors Inc.:

  • Charity McKnight graduated from Dordt College with a degree in business administration. She previously worked in sales and operations management in the hospitality industry.
  • Stephanie Wollman is a licensed building contractor. She and her husband own Wollman Construction as well as The Statuary. She pairs house-flipping experience with her knowledge of the construction industry to best serve her clients.
  • John Mallinger recently retired as command sergeant major for the recruiting and retention battalion of the South Dakota Army National Guard, after serving our country for the past 35 years. Mallinger joins the Dave & Co. Real Estate Team.

Van Buskirk Cos.

Van Buskirk Cos. has added Ryan Tysdal to its commercial brokerage division. Van Buskirk is in the midst of significant commercial growth, including the development of Lake Lorraine. It’s a full-service real estate company that provides brokerage, property management, architectural and construction services. Tysdal is an active deal maker in the commercial brokerage industry. Recent transactions include Scooter’s Coffee, Marco’s Pizza, Harbor Freight Tools, Anytime Fitness, Dollar Tree and Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen.
