QuickHealth adds $49 membership

Aug. 17, 2018

QuickHealth Urgent Care has added a membership model.

For $49 a month, it’s selling unlimited access to its clinics. There’s one at 26th Street and Cleveland Avenue and one at 85th Street and Louise Avenue.

Members pay $10 at the time of service and then are eligible for special pricing on any services not included in the membership.

Services included range from in-house lab work, treatment for common illnesses such as flu and strep throat, procedures such as sutures, wound care and nail treatment, on-site X-rays, some injections, annual exams for men and women, and school physicals.

It’s not health insurance but is intended for people without insurance or with high-deductible plans, said Ashley Fowler, director of marketing.

“This is just like a membership you would have at the gym or tanning salon but for health care,” she said. “We are so excited to be able to offer this and really change health care in our area.”

Contracts are for 90 days and include a 60-day termination notice. There is an enrollment fee that varies depending on how many memberships are purchased.
