Nov. 10, 2018
With the death of founder Paul Curtin, Raymond’s Jewellers is going out of business.
A sale will begin at noon Thursday and continue through Sunday. The store at 1111 W. 41st St. is advertising that $900,000 worth of merchandise will be marked down 30 percent to 70 percent.
“Our entire stock of fine jewelry will be liquidated,” Curtin’s widow, Juanita, wrote in a direct-mail piece. “We are selling everything to the bare walls.”
Curtin started the business in 1991. It moved from downtown to 41st Street in 2014. He died from natural causes in March at the age of 55.
