Gymboree Group Inc. is expected to file for bankruptcy this week and close its remaining approximately 900 stores, according to multiple media reports.

The children’s clothing retailer operates as Gymboree, Crazy 8, and Janie and Jack. There is a Gymboree location and a Crazy 8 store at The Empire Mall.

It would be the company’s second stint in bankruptcy court in less than two years. The last time, lenders took control of the business.
