Sanford announces top leadership changes

From staff reports

Some top executive roles are changing at Sanford Health.

The changes are taking place at the highest level of the organization as part of an overall goal “to deliver the highest quality care to our patients while also being nimble and innovative in the ever-changing health care world,” Sanford said in a statement.

“These changes show how deep our talent pool is here at Sanford Health,” said Kelby Krabbenhoft, president and CEO. “Our leaders are dynamic and committed to helping us adapt to changing landscapes – and they know this company and the communities we serve.”

The following executives are taking on new roles:

  • Kirk Zimmer and Dave Pearce, Ph.D., will be responsible for Sanford Health Plan and Sanford Research. Zimmer is the executive vice president of the Sanford Health Plan. Pearce is the executive vice president of Sanford Research. They will report to Krabbenhoft.
  • Micah Aberson, chief marketing officer, will oversee marketing, Sanford World Clinic, Sanford Foundation and Profile by Sanford. Dr. Dan Blue will lead Sanford World Clinic, which has expanded to 25 clinics in four countries.
  • Annette White and Pearce will co-lead the commercialization team. White is the vice president of legal at Sanford and will help navigate the legal processes and property issues associated with commercialization.

Rich Adcock, who served as chief innovation officer, is leaving his position to work for a health care system in California. That change is effective this month.
