Within a year’s time, Sioux Falls has two Slim Chickens restaurants.

The second location from franchisee Todd Porter opened Monday in the former Harold’s Photo at 2711 S. Louise Ave.

There’s wasn’t a line out the door like there was for the opening July 24, 2017, for the original spot at 24th Street and Minnesota Avenue. The Louise Avenue location, however, might outpace the other restaurant for sales. When Slim Chickens’ corporate office studied the site, the projected sales came back stronger than any of the chain’s other U.S. locations.

The menu focuses on chicken tenders, wings and a variety of homemade sauces. Diners also can find chicken and waffles, and desserts served in mason jars.

The restaurant serves family meals and provides catering.

Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
