Sioux Falls to host seven-state college theater festival

Sioux Falls will welcome the Kennedy Center for American College Theater Festival this coming January as well as the following year.
The Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau said the regional festival will draw about 1,500 college theater students and faculty from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.
It will run Jan. 20-26, 2019, and Jan. 19-25, 2020, and be held throughout downtown, using the Orpheum Theater Center, Washington Pavilion and Holiday Inn City Centre as the headquarters hotel.
The Kennedy Center program is a national event that serves as a catalyst to improve the quality of college theater in the U.S.
