A new Starbucks and Anytime Fitness will be part of a new retail center near Jefferson High School.

It’s located at Marion Road and Pineridge Drive.

At 7,500 square feet, the fitness center will be the largest Anytime Fitness in Sioux Falls.

“I believe the growth of that side of town is just going to be phenomenal, and we wanted to be able to provide best-in-class gym amenities for that side of town,” said Kevin Tupy, the local franchisee for Anytime Fitness and the developer of the retail center through his business Cresten Capital.

The hope is to open Aug. 1, with build-out starting soon.

The Starbucks will include a drive-thru and is expected to open in mid-March.

The retail center has about 2,700 square feet left to lease.

“With the high school across the way, it would be a perfect sandwich shop, smoothie bar or other quick-service restaurant,” said Raquel Blount of Lloyd Cos., who has the space listed.

The area of northwest Sioux Falls has a growing population of students, with about 1,500 at Jefferson and more than 2,000 at Southeast Technical College.
