Child’s Play Toys will open its second location Friday.

The downtown toy store is expanding to Lake Lorraine. It’s in a new retail center at the west-side development that includes furniture store Moe’s, Apricot Lane Boutique and A Perfect 10 Nail & Beauty Bar.

The toy store’s space is smaller than the downtown location at 11th and Phillips, and will focus on toys, books and candy.

Owner Nancy Savage has wanted to have a second location for a while and said that when Toys R Us closed, sales increased enough that it made even more sense to add a store.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
