Coastal flavors arrive in Sioux Falls this week, with the opening of Turks & Caicos Cabana Grille, the latest concept by award-winning restaurant group Vanguard Hospitality.

Located at The Bridges at 57th at 57th Street and Western Avenue, Turks & Caicos Cabana Grille opens at 5 p.m. Wednesday and will transport guests to the feel of a waterfront resort.

“We’ve changed every inch of this space, and we can’t wait to show it to our guests,” Vanguard CEO Ken Bashore said. “We hope once you arrive you’ll escape whatever else is going on outside our doors and choose to return again and again.”

A carefully crafted menu will offer chef-driven selections, including shareable appetizers such as Kahlua Pork Sliders and Seafood Ceviche, fresh entrees such as Cabana Noodle Salad and Pad Thai, and signature items such as Huli Huli Chicken Thighs and Jamaican Curried Goat.

“Our team of chefs has spent countless hours perfecting our menu to deliver something entirely new to Sioux Falls,” said Tim Meagher, Vanguard’s chief operating officer. “We are incredibly proud of these dishes and are excited to see our guests’ reactions.”

And because no trip to the tropics is complete without a signature cocktail, a menu of delicious beverage options awaits.

“Turks & Caicos is known for producing the best rum in the world. That helped inspire our name and should give a hint of the outstanding cocktail menu we’ve put together,” Meagher said.

The restaurant plans to continue delighting guests with new additions in the month ahead, with plans to open an improved and expanded patio in the coming weeks.

Private events will be held today and Tuesday ahead of opening day.

Hours for Turks & Caicos Cabana Grille will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Private dining is available for up to 12 people, and semi-private dining can accommodate groups up to 30.

Vanguard Hospitality also invites guests to enjoy its other restaurants: Grille 26, Minervas in downtown Sioux Falls and Morrie’s Steakhouse.
