Vanguard Hospitality adding fourth restaurant with purchase of Bracco World Cafe

Feb. 2, 2018

Vanguard Hospitality, the owner and operator of the downtown Minervas, Grille 26 and Morrie’s Steakhouse, is adding the former Bracco World Cafe to its portfolio.

Bracco, which TNT Hospitality closed at the end of 2017, was at The Bridges at 57th retail center at 57th Street and Western Avenue.

Vanguard will rebrand the establishment with a new concept reflecting the company’s warm hospitality, service excellence and chef-driven cuisine.

“The new brand will enhance the timeless feel that has drawn loyal guests and focus on continual attention to detail – a value that has placed Vanguard’s restaurants at the top of the Sioux Falls dining scene,” the company said in a statement.

Scott Blount of Lloyd Cos. was the broker in the deal.

“With a few moving parts to this deal, Scott’s hard work in bringing together the different parties involved was key in getting this done,” said Michael Gjernes, chief financial officer of Vanguard Hospitality.

“We are in the early stages of our transition and look forward to announcing more details of our new concept soon.”

The location is expected to reopen this spring.
