Workshop to tackle financial planning for women

From staff reports

Women who have questions about retirement planning are invited to a noon workshop Wednesday, June 14, hosted by The Howard Group of Baird.

Mary Howard and Megan Howard focus their work on helping women become more engaged in financial issues. They host monthly Inspiring Women, Building Wealth workshops.

This month’s session, What Women Want: Personalized Retirement Planning will cover topics such as what goes into a “Life by Design” plan, how to get started and why it’s important to start planning at any age.

The cost of the workshop is $15, which includes lunch and a donation to benefit Make-A-Wish South Dakota.

The event is from noon to 1 p.m. at Make-A-Wish, 1400 W. 17th St.

RSVP at 275-2310 or [email protected].

Other workshops this summer include:

  • July 21: Tips and tricks for saving for women business owners and the self-employed.
  • Aug. 16: How women can make estate planning easier.
